Ms. Nafeesa Ismail

Nafeesa, a graduate from ISB, is an Advocate by profession and values.She has worked as a Corporate State head for Legal departments in Telecom and Banking sectors. She is an avid supporter for social entrepreneurship programs in ISB, and is also actively involved in FICCI FLO, an initiative of women entrepreneurs with prime objective of women empowerment through promotion of entrepreneurship and managerial excellence. An active member of ALEAP Association of Women Entrepreneurs, she took a delegation to Germany on Business Exposure trip in Garments and Food business. She started Marg Foundation in 2007, working on child rights, women empowerment and health. Her area of prime interest is child rights and economic and social empowerment of women. She received President of India Smt. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil’s appreciation and felicitation in Rastrapati Nilayam of Hyderabad. She is also involved in various initiatives undertaken by NGOs and Corporate and is the Vice-President BPW India, an initiative of the UN to develop women entrepreneurs.

Mr. Suresh P. Shetty

Hailing from Bellary in Karnataka, Suresh Shetty is an industrialist and hotelier by profession. He has been engaged in social work for a long time. He has organised blood donation camps and free health check-up medical camps. He has given scholarships to students belonging to the financially weaker sections of the society. He supports sportsmen and women and budding talent by funding their foreign travels for participation in competitions and by organizing local sporting events. He works towards the upliftment of the downtrodden. Having served as the president of several associations working in varied areas of social w elfare, he has also conducted many cultural programmes with the help of artists for 20 years. He has visited several countries for uplifting, enriching and highlighting the glorious culture and tradition of both India and Karnataka among the Indian diaspora there.

Mr. Manoj Jena

Manoj is a crusader for Peace, Harmony and Human Rights from Odisha. An institution builder, he is one of the founding members of many civil society organisations which work for upliftment of the marginalised sections of the society. His work has been widely recognized with awards like Nyay Jyoti Samman, Sarvodaya Samman, Mahila Surakshya Samman and National Human Rights award. During his school and college days, he did remarkable community services under the banner of Red Cross Society and Bharat Scouts & Guides. He has done remarkable service in relief and rehabilitation work during the super cyclone in Odisha in 1999 and earthquake in Gujarat in 2001. He was a part of the founding team of 130 Disaster Mitigation Team in coastal districts of Odisha. He also worked tirelessly in restoration of peace during Kandhamal communal violence in 2007. He brought into light and advocated many atrocities cases and intervened more than 5000 cases in different human rights and legal aid institutions and awarded nearly 30 lakhs of compensation to the victims of different kinds of violations.

Mr. Veenubhai Valia

Vinubhai is a Mumbai Resident and since 1965 has committed his life for the society. He started with Borivali Education society in 1965 known for its innovative education for the community. It's one of the most respected education institutions in western suburbs. Whenever he would met his group of senior citizen friends he would hear about their problems ,one of them being non availability of space and a common meeting area. He had a vision to improve their plight and this idea occupied his mind for a long time. Finally he chalked out a plan with his son to give some relief and mental harmony to the Sr. Citizens and thus Dada Dadi Park was born. In 2006 he started India's first and date best managed one of its kind 'Dada Dadi Park', through his self funded NGO 'PushpaMa Foundation'. It's membership fees is only Rs. 100/- for life time, with current membership of approx. 7000 elders.

Mr. Diwakar Sharma

By God’s grace, Diwakar has won almost every competition he has participated in. He started his formal classical music training from Sh.Onkar Nathji when he was just four. He was 6 when he won his first Delhi State Solo Singing Competition. He stood 1 st in All India Solo Singing Competition organized by Sangam Kala Group, received Saraswati Samman and stood 2 nd in Pogo Child Achiever in 2005. He was also awarded in Bournvita Confidence Champion National level contest and SAREGAMA Little Champs. He received the ROOH–E- MAUSIKI award and LITTLE TANSEN award. He was also nominated as the Most Popular Delhite of The Year 2006. Doordarshan India made a 30 minutes TV film on him entitled DIWAKAR. Diwakar recorded his music in one Japanese movie in 2011. He was also Head Boy of his school in class 5th and 12 th . He has performed live in front of many eminent personalities. Diwakar has been invited to perform by almost very TV channel like AajTak, CNNIBN, NDTV, INDIATV. As a brilliant student of DPS, RK Puram, he has earned admiration for his intelligence, awareness, maturity, all of which are reflected in his singing. Diwakar has had the privilege of becoming the Brand Ambassador of Action Aid, Navratan Jan Kalyan Society, Noida and Sun Foundation India.

Mr. Irfan Alam

Irfan Alam is the founder of Sammaan Foundation, a not for profit company that works to organize cycle rickshaw pullers in India. He is also the Chairman & Managing Director of Sammaan Ventures Ltd, which specialises in cycle rickshaw manufacturing and low cost health care services for the under privileged. A mason fellow in public policy and a full bright scholar at Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University, Alam is also the founder chair person of CIIYi Bihar Chapter. Alam holds many prestigious fellowships such as Fullbright, Ashoka, TED, Ford & FYSE. Limca Book of Records includes his name for social innovation. Other merits include CNBC Young Turks award, CNN IBN’s YoungIndian Leader Award, World Bank Innovation Award, Scotch Foundation Award. He won and USIBC award for social change. Recently Serco Institute has covered Alam’s work in the study titled "Frugal Innovation" and stalwart management guru Philip Kotler with co-author Sameer Deshpandey has included his work in the upcoming book titled "Social Marketing in India". Alam has been recently featured in Harvard Gazette and nominated as Harvard Dean’s Ambassador-a position, crucial in selecting Harvard Students.

Ms. Subha Rajan

Subha Rajan is the Head of External Relations CII. She has spend her whole life working with the under privileged , the physically and mentally challenged all over the world specially in Africa and in Liberia, where she worked in the field of leprosy rehabilitation. In Delhi, Subha continues her altruistic activities by working with foreign prisoners in Tihar jail. She points out that she is able to empathise with their helplessness as she herself lived like a captive for some time. She is also involved in several other philanthropic activities. She is on several boards and has won many awards.She has helped promote trade and commerce between India and other countries –the made in India brand and represented India at several forums abroad.She has met and interacted with many heads of state and was a personal friend of Benazior Bhutto. As the CEO of the OIFC Overseas IOndian Facilitation centre she helped promote NRIs and PIUOs to invest and do philanthrophic activities in India.

Prof. Dr. R. Ganesan

Karmaveer Puraskaar Prof. Dr. R. Ganesan has earned his doctorate in entrepreneurship development from the renowned Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 2003 at the age of 27. He has specialized in Entrepreneurship Development with a focus on Food Processing for Women Entrepreneurs. He is an erudite scholar and has published nearly 71 research papers to his credit in refereed and indexed conferences, seminars, journals, books, book chapters at national and international levels. He is the Founder & Chairman of the reputed National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development (NFED), since 2003 and instituted its virtual operations thereon. He possesses 17 years of commendable experience in research, teaching, training and administration. He has organized numerous events, programmes, conferences, workshops and delivered sessions on management, entrepreneurship and research perspectives. He is a self-realized individual into selfless deeds by fostering societal development through inculcation of social sensational awards like teachers’ day awards, since 2010 and women’s day, entrepreneurs’ day & children’s day awards at NFED since, 2014. He has been conferred with prestigious Karma Veer Puraskaar (KVP) on 26 th November 2011 by Indian Confederation of Non-Governmental Organizations (iCONGO) for his exemplary and laudable services to the societal transformation through entrepreneurship development.

Ms. Sashi Priyadarshni

Sashi is a hero for her altruistic contribution & continued selfless service in the last 8 years to reach out to the community in creating awareness on today’s most imperative cause across our globe – “Organ Donation”. She has been committed & instrumental in spreading the idea behind - “Donating Organs is Donating Lives” in our society & involved actively in igniting this thought in hundreds of our fellow beings who have joined hands together in serving for this noble cause. She strongly feels that contributing to the society is our prime duty & with her lifetime ultimate vision being ‘Transforming Lives’ of people. She also believes that she alone cannot change the world, but can definitely cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples as long as she exists. We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give! Let’s Be the Change, We want to see!

Dr. Verghese Kurien-One Vision to make a difference in our World

Mr. R. Madhavan

Madhavan hails from a modest background and has graduated from the prestigious IIT, Madras. His passion towards farming pulled him out of ONGC and he started his own farming activities near chengelpet, Tamil Nadu . His mission is to try and adapt simple technologies to Indian conditions, in terms of water and other agriculture inputs utilization. He was fortunate enough to have met Dr C Lakshmanan, Director, California Agriculture Consulting Services and who taught him all the technical aspects of high productive farming. Madhavan has demonstrated 250 % improvement in productivity of corn in his field. He has developed a lot of simple farmer friendly tools, which not only reduce the drudgery of farming activities but also improve the efficiency of farm labourers. He conducts workshops for entrepreneurs to take up agriculture as a profession, elevating agriculture from lowly occupation to industrial activity, whereby they can generate rural employment opportunity which improves the rural prosperity. Madhavan believes we need to improve productivity from the present level of 250 million tonnes to 400 million tonnes which should reduce hunger and alleviate poverty, keeping in mind the environment and safety of consumers.
